Podiatrist Kayleigh Aldred joins Walkrite

Podiatrist Kayleigh Aldred BSc(Hons) has joined our team here at Walkrite. She started in clinic on 2nd January 2024 and has already been a great asset to the team. Kayleigh graduated with a 1st Class Degree in Podiatry from Northampton University in 2023 but, prior to that, spent 13 years in the RAF where she worked as a Physical Training Instructor, specialising in the facilitation, management and delivery of strength and conditioning programmes, tailoring programmes specific to sports and / or job roles.

Kayleigh also trained as a Joint Service Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and over her service career has worked with service personnel, professional sports teams and athletes to deliver individual, progressive exercise programmes to optimise return to operational effectiveness.

Post-graduation, Kayleigh gained experience working as a NHS Podiatrist. Within this role Kayleigh worked with patients with various clinical needs including ingrowing toenails, acute Diabetic foot complications, neuropathy, chronic disease, vascular conditions and wound management.

Kayleigh has always been passionate about promoting physical health and well-being through sport and exercise and enjoys being physically active herself enjoying playing numerous sports. She has previously represented the Royal Air Force at Station to Inter-Services level in swimming and was a county-level swimmer when she was younger. Kayleigh also enjoys volunteering at sports events and assisted the St Johns Ambulance and other Allied Healthcare Professionals at the 2023 London Marathon, treating runners with foot and ankle problems.

We’re so glad to welcome Kayleigh to our team. Her experience in exercise rehabilitation and strength and conditioning are a unique asset in a Podiatrist and compliment what we see in clinic every day treating foot and ankle and lower limb problems.

Welcome Kayleigh!
